Prism Bounce is an arcade where you bounce light beams off prism mirrors to hit targets. The format is reminiscent of Mirror Maze (board game) digitised with arcade pacing. Forty-eight levels across four campaign zones.
What works is the prism physics. Each prism reflects at a 45-degree angle and the beam can chain across multiple prisms in a single shot. Reading the path before firing is the core skill.
Forty-eight levels with one new prism type per zone. Standard prisms reflect; coloured prisms only allow matching beams through; rotating prisms shift orientation on a timer. The progression respects the player.
Tested over four Manchester Metrolink commutes between St Peters Square and Altrincham. Touch with tap-to-place-prism works fine. Mouse-click is faster on desktop.
Where the design earns its rating is the multi-step puzzle construction. Levels often require bouncing the beam through five or six prisms in sequence. Each step adds a dependency on previous placements. Pre-planning shows.
Where I would push back is the absence of a level editor. The format would suit user-created puzzles beautifully. The fixed campaign is good but finite.
Four stars. Solid prism-physics arcade with disciplined level design. Recommended for puzzle-arcade fans.
